Hello everyone! My name is Daniel, and I'm a unix geek and PHP developer. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006 with a degree in Political Science and Policy and Management, but during my years there I fell into the web application crowd, doing development for my school's Student Senate.
I'm currently working as a web developer in the city of Washington DC (Free DC!) for a newspaper. In my spare time, I volunteer some of my skills as a sysadmin and PHP programmer for the Indymedia movement.
My research interests include optimizing LAMP applications for performance, application security (broadly defined), and low level solutions for high level problems. I encounter lots of neat problems in my day that there just aren't too many resources around for - so I hope that by posting the problems that I find myself solving, I can share what I know with people, or at least keep track of it for myself.
